During his life on earth Jesus mixed with all members of society. He engaged with rich and poor alike, both Jews and non-Jews (aka Gentiles) including Romans and Samaritans. He was not concerned about ethnic background, social standing or gender.
In his letter to the Galations Paul says “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. “
Here then is the basis for our welcome to all. Perhaps you are just starting out on a spiritual journey and are curious about the Christian faith – you will be made very welcome at EMC.
